Osaguona Ighodaro Dismisses River Plate, Maritimo Link
Published: June 21, 2014
Ighodaro has seriously denied the claims that surfaced in the local press on Saturday that both teams are in the race for his signature.
However, it is confirmed that a couple of Glo Premier League high-flyers want to bolster their ranks with the signing of Ighodaro ahead of the second stanza of the Nigeria top - tier.
The former Shooting Stars ace, who has smashed 10 goals for Enugu Rangers this term, has been contacted directly by Enyimba, Warri Wolves, Nasarawa United, Lobi Stars and Sunshine Stars.
But those suitors have failed to step up their interest by launching an official bid to snap him up from his present employer.
It is common knowledge that Enugu Rangers are faced with liquidity problems, therefore, the management of the side will sanction Osaguona Ighodaro’s departure if an interesting offer is made as they want to improve their cash flow.
