Glasgow Celtic Defender, Efe Ambrose : We Are Not Thinking About Messi
Published: June 22, 2014
Glasgow Celtic defender Efe Ambrose has spoken about the impending confrontation with Argentina superstar Lionel Messi during an interview with journalists after the Nigeria delegation arrived the Vitoria Hotel Concept on Sunday morning.
“We’re not thinking about how to stop Messi. We are thinking about how to stop Argentina. We have to stop all.
“They have good players in attack, like Aguero, Di Maria, Higuain, we are not concerned only with Messi,” said Efe Ambrose.
On Saturday, La Albiceleste secured their passage to the last 16 of the World Cup following the hard fought 1 - 0 win over Iran, thanks to a brilliant goal from Lionel Messi, with the killer blow coming in injury time.
Nigeria have failed to defeat Argentina in three previous attempts, losing by the slimmest margin on each occasion.
