Agent : Obafemi Martins Is Not Linked With Any Turkish Club
Published: June 23, 2014
Tekin Birinci, one of the intermediaries representing Nigeria international Obafemi Martins, has denied reports at home and abroad linking his client with a shift to the Turkish championship.
With reports claiming that Besiktas and Konyaspor are interested in his signature, the attacker has no intention of dumping Seattle Sounders, with his contract set to run out at the end of next season.
“Obafemi Martins is not linked with any Turkish Club. He is player of Seattle and very happy to be there.Ä°t is not true that he joined Turkish team, ” Tekin Birinci said on Twitter.
What is clear is that the 29 - year - old wants his current deal to be reevaluated, so he earns around the same wage as some other designated players in the MLS.
The ex Rubin Kazan, Wolfsburg and Levante man has notched up 8 goals in 15 matches this term.
