Rizespor Stopper Godfrey Oboabona Resumes Full Training
Published: June 24, 2014
Super Eagles manager, Stephen Keshi, should be delighted with the latest update from team doctors regarding the injury to Rizespor central defender, Godfrey Oboabona.
A foot injury had kept him on the sidelines for the past one week, but has now been cleared to resume full training with the National Team ahead of the showdown with Argentina tomorrow at Porto Alegre.
“I am ready to resume training today and the medics have given me a clean bill,” the former Sunshine Stars skipper said on Monday evening.
While it is confirmed the 23 - year - old trained with the squad yesterday at Arena Gremio, things are up in the air if he would make the starting eleven against the South Americans, and the best case scenario is that he would start from the bench.
Nigeria will face Argentina in their final Group F fixture on Wednesday afternoon.
