Keshi Eyeing Maximum Points Against Argentina
Published: June 24, 2014
Stephen Keshi has reiterated that he is eyeing maximum points when the Super Eagles clash with Argentina on Wednesday afternoon.
Going into that fixture at Porto Alegre, the African champions, who are targeting qualification to the next round, are not in a tight corner, and even a draw against the illustrious opponents would suffice.
“We can win, of course. Let’s get the win even try to be the group leader. We defeated Bosnia, we played a good game, we can get another win.
“I never think about losing. We know we can qualify even in defeat, but I do not think about it.
“If I lose, I’ll have to pray for Bosnia to get points from Iran and I do not have to do that. I have to prepare my team to win,” Keshi said.
Nigeria will have a feel of the Estádio José Pinheiro Borba turf on Tuesday morning, with only the first 15 minutes open to the media.
