Stephen Keshi : We Have No Issue With Bonuses
Published: June 29, 2014
Stephen Keshi has reiterated that the Super Eagles are well focused ahead of their meeting with France for a spot in the quarterfinals of the World Cup in Brasilia on Monday afternoon.
Most of the pre - match talk so far has centered around outstanding bonuses which have not been paid by the Nigeria Football Federation, and this has been denied by the Nigeria coach at today’s press conference.
“Our payment was never late. If you have a bonus, it is paid immediately. There is nothing that prevents the players from playing tomorrow .
“We have no issue with this business bonus. It’s okay. We are ready to play,” Stephen Keshi said.
Stephen Keshi is the first African coach to lead a team to the second round of the World Cup, and will extend that record if Nigeria defeats France to advance to the last eight.
