Aalesunds FK Striker Leke James Still Rueing Cup Exit
Published: July 07, 2014
Aalesunds FK attacker Leke James is unwilling to let bygones be bygones, and he is still rueing the club’s exit from the Norwegian Cup 10 days ago.
AaFK, featuring Akeem Latifu and Leke James, crashed out of the competition, losing 1 - 3 to Ohi Omoijuanfo’s Lillestrom after conceding two late goals in extra time in the 119th and 120th minute.
“I was kind of disappointed. We lost our shape towards the end of extra time which caused the second goal, then we all came out including the goalkeeper at the last minute in order to get an equalizer but unfortunately it went wrong. Then, we conceded again.
“But anyway, that is football. Sometimes you take risks which favour you, and go against you sometimes. We have put that behind us and concentrating on the League,” Leke James said to allnigeriasoccer.com on Monday morning.
