Sunny Stephen Resumes Pre - Season Training With CSKA Sofia

CSKA Sofia midfielder Sunny Stephen, 25, has resumed pre - season training with the Bulgarian outfit .

The former Spain Under 20 international is expected to play a big role in the team this coming season due to the expected transfer of some of the midfielders in the squad.

However, the club granted him permission to travel to Spain to attend to urgent personal issues.

The one - cap Nigeria international returned in time for the friendly with Club Brugge held this past weekend.

Sunny Stephen appeared 8 times for CSKA Sofia in the Bulgarian topflight last term, after joining the club in the winter transfer market on a two - and - a  - half year deal from Bnei Sakhnin, Israel.
