Mimiko Backs Maiden Ore National U-14 Soccer Tourney

The Executive Governor of Ondo State Dr. Olusegun Mimiko has been assured of backing the first National Under-14 Soccer Championship which was designed to engage the pupils during the long school vacation slated for mid next month in Ore, Ondo State.
Disclosing this was the Chairman of Odigbo Local Government that would be playing host to the event Pastor Felix Olatunde who said the governor was delighted about youth soccer championship which is first of its kind in the history of the oil town.
The maiden soccer event tagged ‘Ondo Unity 2014’ according to A Square Sports International who organized it is being sponsored by Dr. Omikunle Emmanuel who is the Chairman of National Association of Proprietor of Private Schools, Odigbo Local Government chapter.
The council boss however assured all the participants that would be drawn from all states of the federation a good facilities and adequate security during the tourney, claiming the Governor has ordered speedy completion of the sports center in Ore in readiness for the epic tourney.
“Our governor is a sport loving person and he has done a lot in area of primary education and youth capacity building, this would only complement all his good efforts so is a right action in the right direction.
“And the motive behind the tourney which is to expose Ondo pupils especially from Ore town to their other counterpart from every part of the country and to positively engage them during the long school vacation is welcomed and quite appreciated by our government here”, the council boss noted.
