Turkish Government Cancels Work Permit Of Taye Taiwo
Published: July 26, 2014
The Turkish Federation has informed the authorities to cancel the work permit of Nigerian defender, Taye Taiwo following irregularities in his transfer to Bursaspor from AC Milan, according to matching press reports in France and Turkey.
The reason behind the left back missing the last two games played by Bursaspor in the Europa League has now become clearer, as he is not permitted to represent the club in official competitions.
Technically, Taye Taiwo’s contract which was due to expire at the end of the 2015 - 2016 season has become inactive, meaning he can join a new team as a free agent.
Even before this information was made public, the 29 - year - old had been discussing with the higher - ups at Bursaspor for his contract to be mutually terminated.
