Gbenga Arokoyo Delighted By Reception From Gaziantepspor
Published: July 29, 2014
Finally, Gaziantepspor new recruit Gbenga Arokoyo has chosen to break his silence on his transfer to the Turkish Super Lig club.
Over the past one year, the Nigeria international had been on the radar of teams in France, Sweden, Italy and Holland before he committed his future to Gaziantepspor two weeks ago by signing a four - year contract.
“Joining Gaziantepspor is a leap in my career, and I’m happy with the club most especially the technical crew and I believe I can get to the top with such people around me.
“I was given a fantastic reception when I signed for this team and I felt welcomed by my new teammates.
“I have started training with the club. For now, I have not chosen the jersey number I will wear for the season but I was given number 17 for training,” Gbenga Arokoyo told allnigeriasoccer.com.
The central defender, who is unarguably the standout player to have graduated from Kwara Football Academy, recorded 48 appearances for Mjallby in the Swedish topflight, scoring once against Brommapojkarna in April 2013.
