Little Messi, Stanley Okoro Now Starring For Almeria First Team
Published: August 02, 2014
Allnigeriasoccer.com got in touch with Nigeria international Stanley Okoro to provide an update on his contract situation, having spent last season on a temporary basis at Bulgarian team Cherno More.
The 21 - year - old was farmed out on loan to Cherno More last season to get some game time under his belt.
If that was the plan of the Almeria chiefs, it yielded dividend as the winger made 19 first team appearances in the topflight.
“I am with Almeria now. For up to three weeks, I have been training with the Almeria first team. We are in Thailand now, ” says Stanley Okoro to allnigeriasoccer.com.
Little Messi, as he was fondly called back in the day, as well as ex Golden Eaglets teammate, Ramon Azeez, were both named in the starting lineup in the 5 - 0 win over the Thailand Under 19s on Friday.
Stanley Okoro is tied to Almeria for the next two seasons.
