Osho Gutted After Bizarre Ref Show
Published: August 11, 2014
After what many considered as ‘unprofessional handling’ of one of the week 23 matches in the Nigeria National League, NNL, Technical Adviser of Supreme Court FC, Fatai Osho has praised his boys resilience which gifted the club a hard-earned 2-1 victory against visiting Plateau United.
Coach Osho who was amazed concerning how officiating nearly ruined his side’s effort on Sunday in a tensed-packed encounter decided at FIFA Goal project inside package B of Abuja National Stadium stated “we want to thank God for the victory. It was not an easy one especially in match where my team found itself in a very biased officiating circumstance.
“This was a match many saw a center Referee award penalty that is not worth it. It’s unfortunate that one still find himself in this kind of situation.
“There is nothing wrong about a team getting a penalty call but that should be done professionally. I have players who are hungry to play the game. Unbiased officiating will kill their moral.”
Supreme Court FC’s Defender, Ernest Governor opened scoring in the 68th of the match when he tapped in a well-taken free kick.
Minutes later, desperate center Referee, Julius Uche awarded controversial penalty to Plateau United.
Charles Okafor stepped forward and leveled the scoreline for the Jos-based team.
However, it took the resilience of the Apex Boys before they came out victorious after top striker; Eric Eric wired a stoppage time fantastic finish for his side.
