Published: August 12, 2014
Ifeanyi Onyilo completed his season - long loan move to Ermis of the Cypriot First Division on Monday after successfully passing a medical examination.
The attacker has stated that the ambitions of Ermis match his own, and that convinced him to join the club, who were the surprise package in the league last term, thanks to the goals of Italian - Nigerian, Marco Tagbajumi .
“I like the club because they have ambitions to go higher in the league and if possible win the league.
“Yes, they promised me more playing time, that is why I came here because I need more playing time to get back to my full form, to help the team and them to help me as well,” says Ifeanyi Onyilo to allnigeriasoccer.com.
The 23 - year - old reiterated that his main target is winning the Cypriot championship, and if that happens it would be the first time the club from Aradippou would have achieved that feat.
“If possible I will like to win the league with them and try to score many goals and assists. Yes I think we can do better than last season but time will tell .
“Everybody in the team needs to work hard as one and the sky is our limit,” he added.
Onyilo, who has started training with the Nicos Panayiotou led side, will wear the number 11 jersey for the next nine months.
