Qormi Hero Alfred Effiong Tips Frank Temile To Be An Instant Hit

Qormi icon Alfred Effiong has tipped new signing and compatriot Frank Temile to be an instant hit at the Maltese Premier League outfit.

24 - year - old Temile was amongst the six foreigners unveiled by Qormi on Thursday, which brought to an end his one - year association with Birkirkara F.C.

“The players were unveiled yesterday (Thursday) and Frank Temile is a great addition to the club.

“I believe the club made a statement of their ambition to challenge other teams with the signing of Temile and I know for sure he will succeed because he is a fantastic player,” Alfred Effiong told allnigeriasoccer.com.

In the close season, Effiong extended his contract with Qormi for an additional season, rejecting overtures from other clubs in the Island Nation.

“I stayed with Qormi not because I didn’t have better offers from other teams. They informed me of the project they have and I want to be part of it as it will make history for them.

“Till now I am the club’s all time top scorer because it’s a small club and I want to help them achieve greater things,” he added.

Described as a pacy forward, Alfred Effiong has been playing in the Maltese championship since the age of 20.
