Emmanuel Sarki Reveals Fifa Has Not Cleared Him To Represent Haiti

The Wisla Krakow midfielder has claimed, without providing evidence, that his grandfather, who died recently, has Haitian roots.
Football governing body, Fifa, has not sanctioned the 26 - year - old to turn out for the Caribbean country, the player, himself has revealed.
“I do not know if I’ll be able to play because I still do not have a passport. I will meet with the country’s president and the president of the local Football Federation.
“Then I’ll find out how long the procedure for granting me a passport - maybe a week, maybe two years? The Federation must check my roots, find the names, also, the case has to probably go through FIFA,” Sarki told przegladsportowy.pl.
The surprise invitation of Emmanuel Sarki generated so much interest back in Nigeria, and the ex Flying Eagle confirmed as much.
“My phone was ringing all the time. People asked why I do not want to play for Nigeria. I answer that I’ve been waiting a long time. I only received invitations for the youth teams. I have never played in the first team, ” he argued.
It is confirmed that Emmanuel Sarki was recommended to the Haiti national team coach by his teammate at Wisla Krakow, Wilde Donald Guerrier.
