Published: August 21, 2014
Having spent three years in the international wilderness, Schalke 04 forward Chinedu Obasi has been invited for the African Cup of Nations qualifiers with Congo and South Africa.
But malicious reports surfaced in the local media on Wednesday that claimed he was injured, questioning the decision of the national team selectors to summon him for those games.
That information did not go down well with Chinedu Obasi, and he literally said they were uninformed of his true physical situation.
In a chat with SL10.ng, the 28 - year - old stated : I am about going out for training now. I have tried to clear those reports that I am injured. I think they took an old story. I am not injured.”
