If information from the Italian media is to be believed hook, line and sinker, Eddy Onazi will be paid 25,000 Euros salary at the end of this month for the last time, as Lazio have finally succumbed to pressure to increase his remuneration.
The Nigeria international is holding out for his wages to be almost quadrupled, from 300,000 Euros he currently earns to approximately 1 million Euros.
And there is now a positive outcome after his agent, Jonathan Barnett, held showdown talks with the Lazio brass on Friday.
Il Messaggero says the Sporting Director of the Biancoceleste, Igli Tare, has bowed to the demands from Onazi and his camp, with the central midfielder expected to sign an improved deal in September, which will see him pocketing 1 million Euros per season.
The 21 - year - old’s current deal will expire on June 30, 2016.
