On his official debut this past weekend, the attacker opened his goal account for the Cypriot Cut finalist, netting in the 75th minute as Ermis defeated Doxa 2 - 0 away.
“It was not an easy game, but the important thing is that the team got the three points. I thank God I’m part of it so I dedicate my goal to almighty God,” Ifeanyi Onyilo told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“ I can’t say exactly how many goals I will score but I am targeting to be one of the league’s top scorers.”
The 23 - year - old played in Serbia consecutively for six years before his shift to Ermis, and he has admitted that they play free - flowing football in the Cypriot First Division.
“The weather here is so hot so I need time to get used to it. I think from what I have seen from the first game, they play more open game than in Serbia,” he said.
Courtesy of that win against Doxa, Ermis are joint second on the table alongside AEL Limassol after the opening round of matches in the topflight.
