Emmanuel Emenike Wins Super Cup With Fenerbahce

Nigeria international Emmanuel Emenike won his first trophy of the season after Fenerbahce defeated Istanbul rivals Galatasaray on penalties to win their ninth Super Cup since the formation of the club.
In normal and extra time, both teams failed to score so the tie had to be decided on the lottery of spot - kicks.
Dirk Kuyt, Raul Meireles and Michal Kadlec were on target for the Yellow Canaries while Olcay adyn and Burak Yilmaz scored for Galatasaray.
Emmanuel Emenike, who saw action for the entire duration of the game, was not one of the designated spot kick takers.
The 27 - year - old was yellow carded in the 58th minute by referee Mustafa Abitoglu.
In the first game of the new Super Lig season, defending champions Fenerbahce will entertain Karabükspor while Galatasaray face Bursaspor.
