Emeka Eze Over The Moon After Clinching Wonder Goal Award
Published: September 03, 2014
Enugu Rangers midfielder Emeka Eze was over the moon after learning that his strike against Kano Pillars has been chosen as the most eye catching goal in a poll conducted by the League Management Committee.
To clinch the award, the Nigeria international saw off competition from Abia Warriors duo of Cletus Itodo and Chisom Chikatara.
“It is normal that I have to pay my tithes to my church, Holy Family Prayer Group, located at Ogui Road, Enugu, then I will use the rest for my upkeep.
“I feel very happy and excited that I won this award. It is God doing and not by my power.
“When I scored the goal, immediately I knew it was the best goal of my career. It was like a miracle to me,” Emeka Eze told allnigeriasoccer.com.
The Enugu Rangers number 20 was offered a loan deal by Czech Republic top division team, Banik Ostrava this summer after he impressed the coaches during trials.
However, the proposal was rejected by Emeka Eze, who insisted that a player of his caliber should be acquired outright.
