President, Nigeria Football Coaches Association Vows To Expose Chris Giwa
Published: September 09, 2014
The National President of the Nigeria Football Coaches Association Bitrus Bewarang has advised the factional President of NFF, Chris Giwa to stop parading himself as the President of the Federation and take a step of honour by vacating the Glasshouse with immediate effect.
The former Super Eagles Assistant Coach said that if Giwa and his men continue to parade themselves as duly elected executives of the football, and eventually leads to the banning of the country by FIFA, that he would come out openly to expose all his dirty deals while in Plateau United.
“I think enough is enough. We as major stakeholders in game cannot sit down and watch some set of people intentional run us out of job in the country.
“It is a known fact that players and coaches are major stakeholders in the game of football.
“It is also known that any incident both negative and positive, also affects us most. If FIFA has given their directives that these people are adamant, and are ploting that we be banned in the game, which would not only throw us out of job, but jeopardise the future of ouryouths. We can not accept that”.
Continuing, the Plateau United General Manager said “one thing people should understand is that we as a country applied to belong to FIFA and that means that we agreed to follow their statutes to the fullest.”
“So we must respect their stand at any point in time. Moreover, what he said was an election that brought him into office, was nothing but an aberration of an electoral process.
“A situation where everybody in the electoral hall was counted as a delegate and allowed to vote for an assigned state.
“We cannot accept an election where the Coaches 29 ballot papers were giving out, and our ballot paper was returned unfilled, but was counted as a legal vote.
“We continue to disassociate with the election, until when an acceptable election is organized.
“We in Plateau State are not in any way supporting his programs, and we would advise him to quit with immediate effect,”he concluded
