Godfrey Oboabona Hopes Rizespor Will Go Far In Turkish Cup

Rizespor defender Godfrey Oboabona is inching closer to earning himself a starting shirt for the clash with Bursaspor this weekend after scoring in the second round of the Turkish Cup tie against Tekirda�spor on Tuesday afternoon.
The Nigeria international opened scoring for Rizespor in the 16th minute, as the Super Lig side thrashed part-timers Tekirda�spor 5 - 1.
Speaking to allnigeriasoccer.com immediately after the tie, Oboabona has stated that Rizespor made sure their opportunities were converted, which proved the difference.
“It was not an easy game, it is just that we took our chances. I scored through a header from a corner kick. I thank God the game went well, and I want to thank God for this victory.
“This is just the beginning of the competition and I pray we go far, ” Godfrey Oboabona told allnigeriasoccer.com.
The former Sunshine Stars skipper has notched up four goals in all competitions since his switch to Turkey in the summer of 2013.
