Bentley Says Odd Grenland Are Determined To Win Norwegian Cup
Published: September 27, 2014
Odd Grenland winger Chuks Akabueze believes the Dag-Eilev Fagermo led side have a better pedigree than Molde, whom they square off against in the final in November.
The Nigeria international tasted action for 75 minutes before making way for Ardian Gashi in the win over Sarpsborg 08.
“It wasn’t an easy game for us yesterday but we fought hard as a team. No, I wasn’t injured before the coach substituted me. He wanted to rest me for our next league game on Sunday.
“In the final, anything can happen. But we are determined to go there and win the Cup, so time will tell.
“I will have a chat with Daniel Chima this weekend about the game,” says Bentley to allnigeriasoccer.com.
The Odd Grenland returnee has struck 2 times in 4 Norwegian Cup matches this season.
The Skien based side last lifted the trophy in 2000 while their next opponents Molde are the defending champions.
