Akeem Latifu Scores First Premier League Goal
Published: October 05, 2014
Former Flying Eagles wingback Akeem Latifu scored his first ever goal in the Norwegian Premier League as his team Aalesund played a 2 - 2 draw with Odd Grenland in the 26th round.
His goal in injury time at the Color Line Stadium on Saturday was very important as it salvaged a much needed point for AaFK, who are not guaranteed survival with only four rounds left.
Before his 91st minute goal, the ex Hodd star had 3,105 minutes of game time under his belt without hitting target.
During his time at Hodd, at a stage last season he led the goalscoring charts at the modest club, after scoring 3 goals in his first 8 matches.
Akeem Latifu has started all but one game contested by Aalesund in the Tippeligaen so far this term.
