Knee Injury Rules Michael Babatunde Out Of Khartoum Showdown
Volyn Lutsk midfielder Michael Babatunde has failed a fitness test, which has definitely ruled him out of the African Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan in Khartoum, and he is racing against the clock to be fit for the reverse fixture next week.

The 21 - year - old picked up a knee injury on September 27 during the clash with Dnipro, and failed to make the squad last weekend against Vorskla .

“I really want to play this game against Sudan but fate says I will not but by the return leg in Nigeria I should be back.

“The doctors have assured me that I will be fit between four and five days time,” said Michael Babatunde.

He is the second foreign based player named to the initial roster that will not travel to Sudan, with Victor Moses failing to make the trip to Nigeria due to injury.

Michael Babatunde last wore the national team jersey at the World Cup game against Argentina.
