Ex International Says Stephen Keshi Is Not Remorseful
Published: October 14, 2014
Under - fire Nigeria boss Stephen Keshi had stated on Monday, without mentioning the identities of the individuals, that a group of people want to sabotage his efforts to qualify the Super Eagles for the 2015 African Cup of Nations.
But an unnamed retired international has picked holes in his claim, saying the ex New Nigeria Bank libero is not remorseful for the team’s poor start to African Cup of Nations qualifying, having failed to win any of their Group A fixtures.
Speaking to vanguardngr.com, he said : “The fact that he has failed to realize his mistakes and take corrections is even worse than the matches he has lost because it means he is not admitting his failures.”
The Super Eagles will be hoping to bounce back from a disappointing result against Sudan when they tackle the North Africans tomorrow in Abuja.
Win or lose, speculation is rife that Stephen Keshi will be fired after the game, with major stakeholders including journalists, fans and retired internationals calling for his head.
