Revealed : Boavista Tried For Uche Nwofor Before Lierse Shift
Published: October 15, 2014
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Boavista were interested in the acquisition of Uche Nowfor before he signed on the dotted line for Lierse SK in September.
It has now emerged that intermediaries representing the Portuguese club had been in contact with Uche Nwofor while he was with the National Team for games against Congo and South Africa.
While the former VVV Venlo striker was interested in the move to The Panthers, his manager Tony Harris refused to give his green - light, having already reached an agreement in principle with Lierse.
England based Tony Harris then played the card of replacing Uche Nwofor with another of his client, Michael Uchebo.
It is understood that Nwofor would have penned a 2 +1 year deal, with the same release clause of 10 million Euros that was inserted into Uchebo’s contract.
