Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that an unspecified number of the current Golden Eaglets players failed the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan which was conducted to ascertain their true ages, ahead of the CAF Under 17 Championship.
This website has gathered that six members of the National Under 15 Team that won the gold medal at the 2014 Africa Youth Games in Gaborone, Botswana have been invited by coach Emmanuel Amuneke to replace the players that are above the age limit.
The six Under 15 players invited will start training with the Golden Eaglets when they resume camping for the tournament billed to be staged in Niger Republic from 15 February–1 March, 2015.
It would be recalled that Wilfred Onyinye Ndidi (Nath FC, Lagos), Ibrahim Abdullahi (Sardauna Academy, Kano) and Emmanuel Asadu (Amuneke Academy) were excluded from the 2013 CAF Under 17s after they failed the MRI scan.
