Villarreal CEO, Negueroles Confident Ike Uche Will Be Cleared Of Match Fixing
Published: October 16, 2014
The Nigeria international is one of the ex and current Real Zaragoza players being investigated as regards the final match of the season during the 2010 - 2011 campaign against Levante.
“We believe in integrity and we do not care at all what was said or happened.
“Ike has nothing to do in that case, only played in that team but is not charged and we believe that he is not going to be involved in this case,” Fernando Roig Negueroles was quoted as saying by the online edition of sports daily AS.
The higher ups at the Yellow Submarine are pleased with the performance of Uche over the course of the last two seasons, so much so that they are in talks with the striker to prolong his contract which expires on June 30, 2015.
The experienced forward has been in the international wilderness for the close to two years.
