Hull City Midfielder Sone Aluko Happy To Be Back In Super Eagles Fold
Published: October 16, 2014
Hull City midfielder Sone Aluko, 25, was delighted to be back in the Super Eagles fold, and has thanked the fans for their support in the home fixture against Sudan.
Former Nigeria manager Stephen Keshi introduced the ex England youth international in the second half of the tie against the North Africans, having ignored him in the first leg held in Khartoum.
“Much better performance today from Super Eagles ! Always a proud moment to pull on that 11 and represent. Was more like us today winning 3 - 1.
“Abuja fans you really turned up and supported us today! It’s really appreciated,” Aluko said on Twitter on Wednesday night.
Sone Aluko has played 19 matches in the Premier League for Hull City, netting once against Newcastle United in September 2013.
