Michael Uchebo Nets On His Boavista Debut
Published: October 26, 2014
Nigeria international Michael Uchebo started his career with Boavista in fine form, coming off the bench to score the only goal for his team in their 2 - 1 loss to Paços de Ferreira.
The former VVV Venlo and Cercle Brugge man was snapped up by Boavista on a 2+1 year deal in the first week of October.
Due to the international break, the lanky forward could not make his debut until Saturday, a game which corresponded to the eighth round of matches in the Primeira Liga.
Michael Uchebo was introduced in the 28th minute, replacing Anderson Carvalho, and registered his first goal in the colours of Boavista four minutes before the end of the tie at the Estádio do Bessa Século XXI.
Boavista occupy the 13th position in the standings with 7 points in the kitty.
