Two - Goal Hero Leke James Hails Aalesund Team Spirit
Published: October 27, 2014
Nigerian youngster Leke James netted a brace in a space of four minutes during the first half to take his overall tally this season in the Tippeligaen to nine goals, just one goal shy of his personal record he set in the 2013 campaign.
Courtesy of that win at the Viking Stadium, AaFK now have an unassailable 11 - point gap over Sogndal, who are third from bottom and occupy the last relegation spot.
“ No, we were not doing anything differently in recent matches. It is just that we started the season poorly mainly due to injuries to some key players.
“Team work and hard work has given us those results. The team spirit is so high at the moment, and everybody is back to shape,” said the Aalesund number 14 to allnigeriasoccer.com.
In their remaining two fixtures, Aalesund will entertain Valerenga next weekend, before clashing with doomed for relegation Sandnes Ulf on the final day of the season on November 9.
Former Nigeria youth international Akeem Latifu is also on the payroll of the Color Line Stadium outfit.
