Sammy Ameobi In Positive Mood Ahead Manchester City Clash

Ahead of Newcastle United’s clash with holders Manchester City in the Capital Cup, Anglo - Nigerian forward Sammy Ameobi is in positive mood, especially after scoring his first-ever Premier League goal on Sunday.
The 22 - year - old netted six seconds after his introduction in the 2 - 1 win over Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.
“We are going to take confidence from this,” Ameobi was quoted as saying by shieldsgazette.com.
“Hopefully, we can take that to Manchester City and anything is possible if we go out with the right attitude. We’re looking forward to it.”
Sammy Ameobi spent 67 minutes on the pitch before he was replaced by Moussa Sissoko in the 3 - 2 victory over Crystal Palace in the third round of the competition.
He last hit target in the Capital Cup over a year ago as Newcastle United defeated Morecambe 2 - 0.
