Ondo Schools To Vie For Honours In NAPPS Soccer Tourney

Private schools in Ondo State have commenced registration and preparation for a soccer competition tagged NAPPS President Cup organised by the Ondo State Chapter of National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools in conjunction with A Square Sports International and scheduled for the next schools vacation period.
The Soccer Tournament according to the State President of NAPPS, Pastor Adegoke Orimoloye, who the tourney was named after, was instituted to afford talented pupils from private schools same opportunity as their public counterparts to showcase their God given talent on a bigger platform where they can be noticed by football professional coaches for onward development.
He however, described such development as an important aspect of complete and balancing educational learning process of pupils. saying private school in Ondo State have much respect for recreational aspect of children learning system, by ensuring that all private schools have enough portion of land in their school structure for children sporting activities.
“In our Day Star Group of schools in Ore, Odigbo Local Government area of the state, recreational activities is the first on the agenda of pupils, which they do everyday between 7:am to 8:am before morning devotion and curriculum activities commences.
“We know this soccer tournament would help other schools imbibe the culture, ” Orimoloye noted.
