Dominic Solanke Hails Jose Mourinho
Published: October 28, 2014
Ahead of Chelsea’s clash with Shrewsbury on Tuesday night in the Capital Cup, Anglo - Nigerian starlet Dominic Solanke has showered praise on manager Jose Mourinho, who handed him his professional debut last week in the Champions League.
The top scorer at the Euro Under 17s was rewarded with a professional contract this summer, after scoring 20 goals for the Blues Under 18 squad during the 2013 - 2014 campaign.
“It’s great that he has faith in me, at my age. It shows that there is an opportunity there and working with him will only improve me.
“It is amazing to have a world class coach like Mourinho giving me advice. He has done so much in his career already,” Solanke told Evening Standard.
He added : “In football you must work hard. if you put the talent with the hard work, then anyone can fulfil their dreams.
“As for tonight against Shrewsbury, I will just have to wait to see what the manager does. If I get a chance, I will be happy.”
