Nigerian players continued their impressive performance in the Maltese First Division this past weekend, scoring goals for their respective teams.
A hat - trick by Gabriel Okechukwu secured all three points for St. George’s in their 3 - 2 win over Gudja United, whose second goal came from Udochukwu Nwoko.
But Okechukwu was not the only Nigerian with a treble of goals in the latest round of games, as Roland John Emeka also bagged a hat - trick for Fgura in the entertaining 4 - 3 victory against Gzira United.
Gzira United’s Anthony Chimezie Ewurum got a goal to his name in the 88th minute of the encounter.
In another match, Joseph JoJo Ogunuppe bagged a brace for Zurrieq, who thrashed Vittoriosa S 4 - 1.
Lawrence Uchechi Chiedozie opened his goalscoring account for Rabat in their win over Melita.
