David Alaba Confident Bayern Munich Will Defeat Roma
Published: November 04, 2014
Bayern Munich defender David Alaba, 22, is confident that the Bundesliga champions will defeat Roma on Wednesday night in the Champions League.
The 2013 champions will be assured top spot in Group E with two rounds to spare if they triumph over the Italian visitors.
“We’re still extremely hungry and ambitious. Roma remain a strong team, they’re coming to us looking for points, and they have players capable of deciding a game on their own,” David Alaba said at Monday’s press conference.
In the first leg fixture held at the Stadio Olimpico , Bayern Munich thrashed AS Roma 7 - 1, with Arjen Robben scoring a first half brace and creating an assist for Franck Ribery.
David Alaba has played competitively for Bayern Munich 16 times this season, scoring two goals against Hamburg and Preußen Münster in the Cup.
