Lawmaker Approves Foreign Trip For SOT FC
Published: November 04, 2014
Luck has smiled on boys of SOT FC of Ore, which won the recently concluded A Square National U-19 Soccer Tourney held at Ilaro as the financier of the club, Hon Albert Akintoye approved to sponsor the team to United Arab Emirate for a grassroots competition.
The member of lower chamber representing Irele/Okitipupa constituency said the team has proved to be a worthy representative of Ondo State at the recently held tourney thereby deserved encouragement.
“You boys have made us proud in national grassroots competition and I believe you will reciprocate the same when you get to a bigger stage and that was why I made up my mind to push to international platform.
“I have no doubt that you will be a good ambassador of Nigeria and Ondo State when you get to United Arab Emirate to present us” Hon. Akintoye noted while addressing the boys at a reception held at Ore Ondo State after winning A Square Tourney.
The Coach of the team who piloted the team to victory Mr. Alao Oladimeji however, thanked the lawmaker on behalf of the team while pledging a good outing when the UAE tourney gets underway and come back to Nigeria with the trophy.
