Bayern Munich Star David Alaba Faces Spell On The Sidelines

Bayern Munich and the Austria National Team have suffered an injury setback with news that David Alaba damaged knee ligament in the 2 - 0 win over Roma in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
The 22 - year - old, who assisted the first goal scored by Franck Ribery, had to make way for Sebastian Rode nine minutes from time due to injury.
Preliminary evaluation by club medics revealed that the left back will not return to action until 2015, meaning he will miss Austria’s upcoming Euro qualifiers against Russia on November 15 and the friendly with Brazil three days later.
“There is a problem with David. He was injured. He will get checked out tomorrow when we will know more, ” manager Pep Guardiola told reporters at a press conference after the game.
David Alaba has been involved in every competitive game contested by the German champions this season.
