Published: November 07, 2014
Nigeria Under-20 international Anthony Omaka is battling to win a contract at Portuguese side Beira-Mar, the manager of the central midfielder, Dominic Egbukwu has specially informed SL10.ng.
The 18-year-old has been linked to a number of clubs across Europe since the summer after impressive displays for the Flying Eagles and COD United.
And the youngster tried his luck with SC Bastia (France) and Cagliari (Italy) before Beira-Mar started running the rule over him last month.
“Tony Omaka was first invited to Cagliari but after about a week he was sent to train with Beira-Mar. We are hoping he is offered a contract,” said his manager.
“He has the qualities most European teams are looking for and will be a good addition to the team.”
Omaka made his debut for the Flying Eagles back in April in an international friendly against Morocco.
