Ahmed Musa, Vincent Enyeama Shortlisted For African Footballer of the Year By CAF

It is that time of the year again when the Confederation of African Football (CAF) unveils its shortlist for the African Footballer of the Year.
All the usual suspects have been named in the 25 - man list released by CAF on Thursday apart from Super Eagles midfielder John Obi Mikel and Samuel Etoo.
The list features two players from Nigeria - Vincent Enyeama and Ahmed Musa - who were the most outstanding players for the African champions at the World Cup.
To scoop the prestigious prize, the Lille custodian and CSKA Moscow striker will compete with the likes of Yaya Toure (Man City), Sofiane Feghouli (Valencia), Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Borussia Dortmund) and Asamoah Gyan (Al-Ain ).
Mamelodi Sundowns winger Ejike Uzoenyi has been recognized for his displays at the 2014 African Nations Championship as he is one of the 20 players nominated for the African Player of the Year (Based in Africa).
The winners of the awards will be known at a gala ceremony to be held in Lagos on January 8 next year.
