John Utaka Nets As Sivasspor Draw With Eskisehirspor
Published: November 08, 2014
On Friday at the 4. Eylül Stadyumu (Sivas), Sivasspor took on
Eskiehirspor in the ninth round of matches in the Turkish Super Lig.
Immediately after the restart, Super Eagles striker John Utaka opened scoring and his team were coasting to victory before they surrendered the lead in stoppage time, after Sismanoglu netted for the visitors.
John Utaka and Macauley Chrisantus both started for Sivasspor while Nigeria international Raheem Lawal joined the fray in the 58th minute.
The 1- 1 draw did not do any good to the league positions of both teams as Sivasspor are second from bottom while Eskiehirspor are only spot above the relegation places, with both teams playing one more game than other relegation candidates.
After the international break, Sivasspor will tackle another team struggling to stay afloat, Balıkesirspor.
