Published: November 09, 2014
Brønshøj BK took their unbeaten run in all competitions to 11 matches after they drew 2 - 2 with Vendsyssel in the Danish First Division on Sunday.
Former Brondby forward Oke Akpoveta scored his first - ever league goal in Denmark, hitting target in the sixth minute for the opening strike of the game staged at the Hjørring Stadion.
But that was not his first goal of the season, having found the back of the net in the 2 - 0 Cup win over Jammerbugt 12 days ago.
“I am happy I am now scoring. Although we tried to play our normal game ,but the opponents tried to stop our flow.
“My goal came after six minutes of play. We dropped back too much, so they dominated us. We were unlucky that they equalised.
“Our trainer change our formation so we could have more of the ball in the second half and that helped the team, ” Oke akpoveta told allnigeriasoccer.com.
The former Warri Wolves star added : “We have not lost for 11 games now, and there is big confidence in the team. And all the players are ready to give their best.”
With 17 points in the kitty, Brønshøj BK occupy the seventh position on the table.
