Published: November 10, 2014
Panathinaikos overcame PAOK 2 -1 in the Greece Super League to move into the top five teams on the table, and they have to thank ex Flying Eagles skipper Abdul Ajagun for contributing to the victory.
Abdul Ajagun, who scored for The Greens in the 51st minute, battled to stay on the pitch after he picked up an injury.
“It’s a very good win for us, we made a team effort and we will continue to work hard to improve. We did our best game this year, we played as a team and we got a very big win.
“It was a group effort, was the rest of the team who helped me to be good. I had to sacrifice myself for the team in the last minute that I was injured.
“PAOK is very good team and plays very well. I think I have improved and I owe the coaches and the work being done with young players, ” Abdul Ajagun was quoted as saying by gazzetta.gr in his post match comments.
A product of Dolphins of Port Harcourt, Abdul Ajagun has at least a goal to his name in every single competition the Greens are still involved in this season.
