Reuben Gabriel Stars In Boavista Win
Published: November 10, 2014
Reuben Gabriel is proving he is back to full fitness after he was handed a starting berth in Boavista’s clash at home to Penafiel in the Primeira Liga on Sunday.
Injuries curtailed his appearances for Kilmarnock and Waasland-Beveren, but he is looking like recapturing his Kano Pillars form, with an immense performance against Penafiel.
The Nigeria international provided an assist for Carlos Santos, who netted the only goal of the tie nine minutes into stoppage time.
Following their third win of the season, Boavista have climbed out of the bottom three in the standings.
Michael Uchebo made his second start for the Panthers, but failed to add to his goal tally.
