Maccabi Netanya MUST Sell Olarenwaju Kayode To Balance Books
Published: November 22, 2014
The online edition of Israel’s leading newspaper, ynet.co.il, has informed that Olarenwaju Kayode has to be sold in the next couple of months instead of this summer in order for Maccabi Netanya to stay afloat.
The Liga Leumit champions are experiencing dwindling margins, so much so that owner Eli Segev is finding it difficult to pay the players their wages for the month of October.
While Olarenwaju Kayode has made it clear that he would prefer to join a team in Europe, Maccabi Netanya higher - ups would have no choice but to sell him to a rival team in the Premier League if they do not receive a bid from there.
Kayode renewed his Maccabi Netanya vows in the close season, penning a two - year - deal that ties him to the club till the summer of 2016.
With five goals in seven matches, the ex Flying Eagles star is the joint second - leading marksman in the Ligat ha’Al.
