Injured Ayila Yussuf Denies Reports Metalist Have Stopped Paying His Wages
Published: November 22, 2014
Forgotten Nigeria international Yussuf Ayila, 30, has denied reports that he has fallen out with the management of Metalist .
Based on earlier information, the Europa League campaigners have stopped paying the defender his wages following his injury against Legia Warsaw, which has ruled him out of action until March.
“To be honest, I was surprised to learn that the internet has spread information that I literally fell out with the club. I have a valid contract, and I am fully satisfied with the current situation,” Ayila told the official website metalist.ua.
“The rumors that they do not want to pay the salary after injury - an absolute lie. There are no financial problems- I got all that is necessary at this point.
“Someone close to the club, decided to provoke a conflict. I am very unhappy about this. I should not quarrel with Metalist! ”
