Published: December 02, 2014
Nigeria Under 23 coach, Samson Siasia, has expressed happiness over the quality of domestic based players that attended the ongoing screening exercise in Abuja.
In the next three days, the invitees will be whittled down so as to accommodate the foreign based professionals, with Siasia expected to run the rule over the overseas contingent starting from this weekend.
“Getting the best legs to play for the country is work in progress, and so far I am impressed with what I have seen from those who have made themselves available to be looked at, ” Samson Siasia said.
On Wednesday, the Dream Team will be involved in a scrimmage against Ine Stars Football Club of Benin, before squaring off against Ace Football Club of Kaduna in another test game two days later.
The Nigeria Under 23s did not qualify for the London 2012 Olympic Games and the last All African Games.
