Cologne Striker Anthony Ujah Refuses To Set Target
Published: December 08, 2014
Speaking after netting his seventh goal of the season in all competitions, Anthony Ujah has remained modest and has resisted the urge to set a target.
Having said that, the Nigeria international has always ended each campaign with more than 10 goals since transferring to Europe in 2010, apart from his debut season in Germany with Mainz.
“I don’t have a specific goal target for the season but reaching the double digit again as I did the last two seasons would be great, ”the Cologne number 9 told allnigeriasoccer.com.
Anthony Ujah used this opportunity to explain what went wrong at the RheinEnergieStadion on Saturday.
“In the first half we were very disciplined tactically and pressed them very high which made them unorganized.
“But in the second half we gave them too much space to play and we paid for it dearly,” Ujah said.
Only 10 players led by Alexander Meier have bettered Anthony Ujah’s haul of 5 goals in the Bundesliga.
